Industrial buildings and facilities designed around the production process.
We develop industrial buildings, production buildings and supporting works for existing facilities. We combine concrete foundations, structures and floors with steel frames, trusses, mezzanines and cladding according to functional requirements.
The design starts with the process layout: equipment, storage, circulation, clear heights, maintenance and opportunities for expansion. The structure and building services are coordinated so that the building meets the needs of the activity it will house.
Foundations, floors and service loads
Industrial floors are designed with regard to ground support, racking loads, vehicle wheels and operating areas. We define thickness, reinforcement where required, joint layout, load transfer, surface finish and flatness tolerances according to the intended use. The floor is treated as an engineered element, not as a finishing surface.
Machine foundations require a separate assessment. Where dynamic actions occur, we analyse the combined equipment–foundation–soil system, permissible vibration and anchorage conditions. Manufacturer requirements are incorporated into the civil engineering and installation documentation.
Coordinated concrete and steel structures
We define the structural system based on spans, loads, construction sequence and planned expansions. Connections between steel and concrete include plates, bolts, bearings and tolerances. When a composite structural solution is adopted, the interaction between materials is incorporated into the calculations and connection design.
Roofs, cladding and service supports are coordinated with ventilation, rainwater drainage, technical access and process requirements. For extensions, we assess connections to the existing structure and organise the work around production constraints.
Building automation and asset monitoring
We integrate the management of lighting, heating and cooling, ventilation, access and consumption through building automation systems. The control architecture is defined to exchange information between equipment and facilitate supervision, alarms and maintenance.
Building services automation is coordinated with production systems while keeping their responsibilities distinct. Structural and condition sensors are incorporated where deformation, vibration or changes in an asset need to be monitored.
Let's discuss your project.
Industrial infrastructure should support the current process and allow changes to be assessed using technical information.
