Concrete to contain, convey and treat.
We design and build structures for drinking water treatment plants, wastewater treatment, and water storage and conveyance. Our scope includes reservoirs, chambers, channels, settling tanks, reactors, pumping stations and associated civil works.
We coordinate structural and hydraulic engineering with treatment technology, electromechanical equipment and operating conditions. The geometry of the enclosure, connections and access provisions are defined together with process requirements.
Watertightness as a design criterion
The design accounts for hydrostatic pressure, external lateral pressures, uplift pressure and different filling states. For buried or partially buried structures, we also check scenarios with an empty enclosure and water present outside.
Watertightness is achieved through the combined system of structure, crack control, joints, seals and penetrations. We define the concrete mix, reinforcement distribution, connections and construction sequence with regard to shrinkage, temperature changes and chemical exposure. Where the environment requires them, we incorporate linings or protective systems compatible with the service conditions.
Wall penetrations, anchors and service supports are coordinated before concrete placement. For contact with drinking water, the selection of materials and products must account for their suitability for that use.
Equipment, automation and measurement
We integrate walkways, platforms, covers, gates and steel supports, selecting materials and protection according to their exposure. The design provides access for cleaning, equipment removal and maintenance of process components.
Instrumentation is defined for each treatment stage. It may include level, flow and pressure, as well as pH, turbidity, conductivity, dissolved oxygen or residual disinfectant, where appropriate. Each variable has a specific function: observing a hydraulic balance, controlling a stage or verifying water conditions.
We link these measurements to the control of pumps, valves and equipment included in the scope. Handover includes configuration, signal verification, records and maintenance requirements for measurement points.
Let's discuss your project.
Civil works and treatment technology are developed as parts of a single installation, with defined responsibilities and interfaces.
