Ports and logistics

Concrete infrastructure for heavy loads and continuous operation.

We develop terminals, storage facilities, warehouses, platforms and civil works for port and logistics operations. We integrate concrete silos and storage cells, pavements, equipment foundations, and steel structures for transfer systems, roofs and circulation.

We organise the design around cargo movements: receiving, storage, transfer and dispatch. Infrastructure is coordinated with vehicle paths, manoeuvring areas, equipment positions and the facility's operating constraints.

Loads, exposure and durability

Structures and operational surfaces are sized for the distributed and concentrated loads associated with their use: storage, heavy vehicle traffic, equipment supports and manoeuvring. Where the scope includes berthing structures, actions associated with vessels, water and site conditions are incorporated.

We distinguish between the exposure conditions of each facility. In marine environments, chlorides and wetting and drying cycles require the concrete mix, reinforcement cover and protective measures to be specified. At river terminals, the criteria are adapted to the hydraulic, environmental and operating conditions actually present. Durability is addressed through materials, construction details, execution and inspection, not solely through a nominal concrete strength.

Steel integration and operational control

We coordinate conveyor galleries, transfer towers, walkways and steel roofs with their supports and foundations. The design accounts for installation tolerances, relative movements, corrosion protection and access to components requiring inspection or replacement.

We incorporate instrumentation to observe tilt, displacement, crack opening and vibration at selected points. Sensor placement responds to an anticipated pattern of behaviour and a specific monitoring need.

At suitable access points and on compatible routes, we integrate weigh-in-motion systems to characterise vehicle loads, together with identification and event recording. This information can be linked to traffic management and to the assessment of loads acting on pavements and structures.

Let's discuss your project.

We design the terminal as a coordinated combination of structures, equipment, circulation and operational data.
